This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Connexin Software, Inc. dba Office Practicum collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from you as a visitor (each, a “User”) to a Office Practicum, NextStep Solutions, Remedy Connect OP Site or other web- or cloud-based sites offered by Office Practicum (collectively, “OP Site(s)”). This privacy policy also applies to any products and services available through Office Practicum portals, affiliate websites, or forums, or services offered by Connexin Software, Inc. dba Office Practicum (collectively, “OP Service(s)”).

 

We may collect information from Users in various ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit, access, register, fill out a form, or otherwise use OP Sites or OP Services. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, mailing address, phone number, company name, etc. (“personally identifiable information”). We will collect personally identifiable information from Users only if they voluntarily submit it to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from accessing, using, or engaging in related activities with the OP Sites and OP Services.

 

We may also collect non-personally identifiable information about Users whenever they interact with OP Sites and/or OP Services. Non-personally identifiable information may include the browser name, the type of computer, and technical information about Users’ means of connection to OP Sites and OP Services, such as the operating system and the Internet provider(s) utilized and other similar information.

 

OP Sites and OP Services may use “cookies” to enhance User experience. User’s web browsers place cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. Users can find specific information about how we use such technologies and how you can refuse certain cookies in the Cookie Notice.  Users may choose to set their web browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If they do so, note that some parts of the OP Sites and OP Services may not function properly.

 

Office Practicum may collect and use Users’ personal information for the following purposes:

  • To present our Website and its contents to you.
  • To provide you with information, products, or services you request from us.
  • As needed to provide access to, and proper use of, the OP Sites and OP Services such as technical support or help desk information.
  • The information you provide helps us respond more efficiently to your customer service requests and support needs and/or to carry out our obligations and enforce our rights arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • We may use individual activity or information in the aggregate to understand how our Users as a group use OP Sites and OP Services or personalize user experience. We may use your feedback to improve our products and OP Sites and OP Services.
  • We may use the email address to send User information and updates pertaining to their order. It may also be used to respond to their inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. By providing an email address or other contact information, you opt into our mailing list, and will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or OP Sites and OP Services information, etc. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email.
  • Office Practicum may also share your personal information with its third-party service providers (such as its hosting partners) to provide the necessary hardware, software, networking, storage, and other OP Sites we use to operate the OP Site and maintain a high-quality user experience.
  • In addition to the purposes described above, we disclose personal information to respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal processes to establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims. We may also share such information if we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use, or as otherwise required by law.
  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates or a buyer or other successor in interest.
  • To fulfill the purpose for which you provide it. [For example, if you give us an email address to use the “email a friend” feature of our Website, we will transmit the contents of that email and your email address to the recipients.]
  • For any other purpose disclosed by us or otherwise with your consent.

 

We adopt appropriate data collection, storage, and processing practices and security measures to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information, and data stored and/or contract with third-party vendors who do the same.

 

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above and as may be permitted by any written agreement between us.

 

Users under 13. Protecting the privacy of the very young is especially important. For that reason, we never collect or maintain information at OP Sites from those we actually know are under 13, and no part of our website is structured to attract anyone under 13.

 

Public forums: You should be aware that any information you provide on or through certain OP Sites (e.g., the Ideas Portal and listserv forums) may be read, collected, and used by others who access them. 

 

Correcting and updating your information: Customers may update or change the personal information they have provided Office Practicum by logging into the OP Site and providing such additional information where applicable. Links to other websites: An OP Site may contain links to other websites and web applications, sites, or information not owned or controlled by Office Practicum. Updates to Privacy Policy: Office Practicum has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the top of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.

 

Your Acceptance: By using this OP Site or OP Services, you signify your acceptance of this policy. If you do not agree to this policy, please do not use this OP Site or OP Services. Your continued use of the OP Site or OP Services following the posting of changes to this policy will be deemed your acceptance of those changes.
